It is not an easy task to give feedback, especially if it is negative.

The following bullets could really disturb the situation:


  • a dismissive body language
  • a body language that is difficult to read
  • the wrong choice of words
  • intonations or phrasings that anger
  • mumblings and groans
  • saying negative things and immediately taking them back
  • making fun of the person or situation


The worst thing is that you are probably not even aware of doing it .

Negative feedback given in an unsuitable way is a more common reason for conflicts than lack of confidence, bad feelings between individuals, power struggles or salary.
